The EGC football tournament is considered by many as the most important event of the EGC. The victorious team is remembered for years and the glorious moments the victors live after the last whistle are unforgettable. Therefore before describing the tournament rules we would like to give this big shout-out to the German team, lead by David Seibt and Johannes Obenaus, that came out on the the top of last years go congress in Sibiu, congratulations!
This utmost prestigious football tournament is going to take place in the multifunctional sport center of the Home Credit Arena in Liberec. The football pitch is located approximately one kilometre away from the Babylon center and is therefore easily accessible. At this point three artificial playing fields are reserved for Tuesday 16:00-21:00, so we expect lot of teams to sign in. The semi-finals and finals are scheduled for Friday afternoon.
The rules are as usual: 5+1 on the field, unlimited players in a team and one goal extra for each girl that stays on the field the whole game. We expect to play with 12min*2 but the time settings and tournament format may change depending on the number of participating teams.
Please subscribe your team at least one hour before the beginning of the tournament at the sport board that will be available in the Babylon center.
We hope that this event will attract many fans and will make a great social event as well. Last years crowd, lead by the Romanian "cheerleaders", made the event truly unforgettable.
Entry fee: ~ 15€ per team.
